Hello Everyone!

Hope you all had a great week! Mine was interesting...it went by extremely quickly! Not a whole lot happened. We got to go see Meet the Mormons again on Tuesday with Jenny, one of our less actives. It is such a good movie! We were all bawling by the end. It was so hard being at a movie theatre! I felt so worldly and dirty. And watching all the movie trailers was just torture. There are so many good movies coming out that I'm going to miss! It's killing me! I think movies is one of the biggest things I have missed since being out on a mission. I gave a training at district meeting on Wednesday. It went pretty well. I trained about why we are commanded to feast upon the words of Christ daily. It was cool because I was prompted to ask my district for part of my training what their favorite scripture was in the Book of Mormon and how it has strengthened their testimony in Jesus Christ and it ended up being a really cool discussion and the Spirit was very strong. Thursday was a full day in our area and it was my mommy's birthday! Woohoo! We had some great appointments set up, and then ended up having 3 appointments cancel on us, so we did a lot of walking and doing street contacting. It was a really hot day surprisingly and Sister Durrant and I were both wearing long sleeves. Ooops! It's been rough trying to find new investigators lately because everyone is at school and work! So it's been a little discouraging, but we're still doing our best! Friday was amazing! We got to go to the temple with our zone. It was the perfect way to end the week. I wish we could go to the temple every single week! Anyways, then we had dinner with the Kosters and then went to our ward Halloween party! It was so much fun! We ended up being in charge of one of the stations they had available for kids to be at. It was Hogwart's/Harry Potter themed so each station had to do with potions, flying, or wands. They had Harry Potter music playing in the backround. It was so cute! Absolutely genius! We were in charge of one of the potion stations. Kids were to come  up and stick their hand in a little cardboard box and on the other side there was a plate of gooey stuff like silly putty and gooey eyeballs and they had to guess what was on the plate. Then they got a prize :) I love this ward! Carla and her son David came to the party, but Carla left to go to a casino with a man friend and kind of left us in charge of David. Then she asked us to find a ride for David because she was drinking...and just last week we had a lesson with her about the Word of Wisdom...yikes. We've got some work to do.
Anyways, I wanted to share something cool that I learned in my studies this past week. So in D&C 75:3 it says "Behold, I say unto you that it is my will that you should go forth and not tarry, neither be idle but labor with your might." I was studying about diligence in Preach my Gospel, and it led me to this scripture. Recently I have been kind of struggling to know whether I am following God's will or not. And this scripture taught me that as long as I am doing my very best and working as hard as I possibly can, then I am following His will. And it's interesting...just like with exercising, we each can go a different pace, so we should never compare ourselves with others because as long as you are going as far as you can, then the Lord is pleased. That can go along with anything in life. I love you all and hope you have a wonderful Halloween! :)

Here's my zone at the temple
Our zone leaders thought it would be "funny" for all of us to stick a sucker in our mouths.
Weird, but whatever :)
