General Conference :)

Hope you all had a good week! Mine was interesting. I absolutely loved General Conference. I had so many prayers and questions answered. It went by way too quickly! I could listen to our prophet and his leaders ALL day! Darn it...gotta wait another 6 months!
Anyways, something very cool happened this week! I unfortunately don't have a whole lot of time to email this week, but one of the coolest miracles happened this week! Do you remember that man I mentioned in my email last week that randomly came to church? Then he showed up to the TC and I felt really strongly like I needed to talk to him? His name is Nathaniel. Well, I figured I would never see this guy ever again. He said he was going to Lincoln that very night, so I just hoped that I was able to touch his life just a little bit before he left...well, after preparation day was over on Monday, Sister Durrant and I were walking up to the TC to grab our car, and guess who just happened to be driving down the road? Nathaniel! He wanted to check out the cemetery and couldn't figure out how to get in, so he asked us if we could go show him around so we did and had an amazing lesson with him. Completely led by the Spirit, and by the end of it he told us he wanted to be baptized! He is homeless and was staying with his niece, so he gave us his niece's phone number and we gave him our number, and hoped maybe we could keep in contact and get him to stay in Bellevue so we could continue to teach him! We weren't really sure if it would actually work since he was still planning on going to Lincoln...but he ended up texting us that night and basically telling us that he wanted us to teach him and that he was so grateful for us and all this other stuff. So we talked with our bishop to see if we could find a place for him to live, so we set up an appointment for him to meet Nathaniel...and long story short...Nathaniel was really needing money so he could get to Lincoln, so bishop Rose got him to help with ward building cleanup, and then Nathaniel was off! I was really worried that he was just using us and bishop Rose to get the money he needed, but we found out that Nathaniel is now meeting with missionaries in Lincoln. Thank goodness! At least I know now that I did touch Nathaniel's life just a little bit and helped him have a desire to be baptized even though I am not going to be the one to do that. Always have to remember that The Lord is in charge and knows a lot more than I do. I didn't understand why I felt so strongly to talk to Nathaniel at the Trail Center when he came him, but now I do. The Lord needed me to soften his heart a little bit and help prepare him for other missionaries.
General Conference was so wonderful...on Saturday Sister Durrant and I were able to go to bishop Roses' house to watch it with him and his family and then we had dinner with them that night. Made me feel closer to home. It was just what I needed! Then on Sunday we were able to watch it at the Trail Center. We were on shift that afternoon but luckily no tours came in so we were able to watch the whole thing! All the speakers were so powerful! I felt like those that are usually emotional like Elder Holland and Elder Eyring were even more emotional this time. Oh it just got me right to the heart. We are so lucky to have such inspiring leaders and have a living prophet today. I love that all over the entire world we are all gathered together to watch our prophet and his apostles speak. How can people say that our church is not the church of God!
Oh, something pretty cool. I don't know if any of you have heard of the movie coming out called "Meet the Mormons." President Weston is allowing us to go to the theatre to see it if we get a member to drive us and if we have a less active or investigator come watch it with us. Cool huh?!
Another thing, as of right now Paula is going to be baptized this coming Saturday on the 11th. Pray for her as hard as you can so she doesn't end up smoking. She's so amazing! I know she can be baptized this weekend, but we need your help! Thank you for your prayers and support. I love you all so much!
